Today, a total of 4 employees carry out scientific and practical research work in the laboratory, of which 1 is a Candidate of Sciences and 3 are experienced specialists.
Main purpose:
Research is being conducted to study the nature of the development of exogenous geological processes (EGP) to ensure the safety of the population and territories.

Services provided:
- solving scientific questions about the nature of the formation and development of landslide processes.
- assessment of the scale of landslide-affected territories (river basins, administrative districts, regions);
- identification of landslide-hazardous zones and zones of landslide process development;
- assessment of the possible consequences of landslides on engineering structures, residential buildings and other facilities;
- assessment of the vulnerability of facilities in the process of landslide development;
- assessment of the risk of possible consequences of landslides;
- construction of large-scale spatial diagrams of landslide conditions (district, river basin, administrative territory) with parametric characteristics of landslide sites, determination of zones of possible damage and danger to objects and structures, assessment of the dynamics of development and dynamics of development of the territory; landslide processes in time and area over the past 15-20 years.

Achieved scientific and practical results:
"Medium and large landslide warning maps have been developed for the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan.
- An assessment was given of the role of natural and man-made factors in the activation of landslide processes and their recurrence.
- In conditions of increased avalanche risk, the issues of assessing the vulnerability of facilities to the effects of landslides have been resolved.
- In order to justify measures to ensure the safety of engineering and social facilities, landslide risk maps arising from landslide processes have been developed by region.
As a result of the use of space research data for spatial assessment of the possible consequences of hazardous geological processes for social and engineering facilities, large-scale space diagrams of landslide conditions and development of territories, objects of various purposes, and development of territories were also compiled.
