On December 5 of this year, the Ministry of Mining and Geology held an event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and "December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day" as part of the anti-corruption month.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister U. Yusupov and Adviser to the Minister M. Pirozhkov, employees of the executive office of the ministry, heads of subordinate enterprises and employees of anti-corruption compliance services.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the role of the Constitution in the development of the state and society, its significance, basic concepts that serve as a solid foundation for building a democratic state and civil society in the country, as well as a worthy position of Uzbekistan in the international arena.

In addition, he noted that systemic reforms are being carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of society, including in the prevention and fight against corruption, with special attention paid to eliminating the factors that contribute to its emergence.

Also, the head of the internal control department for combating corruption of the Ministry of Geology Sh. Sagdullaev informed the participants about the work done in the field of combating corruption in the ministry and its subordinate enterprises. After that, employees of JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant, JSC Uzmetkombinat, JSC Uzbekgeologorazvedka and JSC Uzbekgeofizika as the most effective structures in the system that received international certificates of compliance with the requirements for combating corruption ISO 37001:2016, as well as the heads of internal structures of anti-corruption control of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, State Institution University of Geological Sciences were awarded memorable gifts for timely prevention of corruption factors and the formation of an intolerant attitude towards corruption among employees, raising the legal awareness and culture of employees.
