Conducting scientific research on the study of hydrogeological and engineering-geological conditions of mineral deposits.

- Developing and improving methods for studying hydrogeological and engineering-geological conditions during the exploration and exploitation of mineral deposits;
- Carrying out research to substantiate mining and technical conditions during the exploitation of mineral deposits;
- Studying the patterns of long-term stability changes in the physical and mechanical properties of rocks;
- Examining the geological-tectonic, hydrogeological, and climatic characteristics that predetermine the effectiveness of ore mining conditions;
- Assessing rock fracturing and deterioration, and determining their significance for the stability of mining operations;
- Analyzing and evaluating the stability of mine workings during underground mining of ore deposits and forecasting changes in their engineering-geological conditions during exploitation;
- Conducting engineering-geological and hydrogeological research during the development of deposits to substantiate the approval of mineral deposit reserves by the State Reserves Commission.
