On June 4 of this year, a regular working meeting was held as part of the KOICA-funded project "Creating an Integrated Management System for Mineral Resources and Geological Risks in Uzbekistan." The meeting included the responsible official of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Rector of the University of Geological Sciences, the management and specialists of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, and representatives of the Korean companies KOMIR, SOAM, Argonet, and KIGAM.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the activities planned for implementation within the project in 2026, seminars and trainings aimed at enhancing the professional potential of specialists, the further development of scientific and practical cooperation, and the priority tasks outlined for subsequent stages of the project.

Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on the preparation and holding of the GEOMIN–2026 international conference, scheduled to be held in Tashkent in 2026. The Korean delegation showed great interest in this event and expressed its readiness to take an active part in its work.
