As part of the KOICA ODA project "Creating an Integrated Management System for Mineral Resources and Geological Disasters in Uzbekistan," funded by KOICA, a training seminar for staff of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology was completed from June 1 to 5, 2026.

The seminar was conducted by specialists from the Korea Institute of Geosciences and Minerals (KIGAM), KIOST, and Kangwon National University. It will serve to enhance the professional capacity of the institute's staff in the areas of "GIS geodatabase formation" and "creation and development of a basic data management system in geology."
