As part of cooperation between the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology and the United States Geological Survey (USGS), an online meeting of specialists from the United States and Uzbekistan on the effective use and management of groundwater resources was held on July 7 of this year.

The meeting reviewed U.S. experience in managing, monitoring, and ensuring sustainable use of groundwater resources, as well as information collected from the selected groundwater assessment pilot, and identified future actions.
